pcp MOBILE PHONE APPLICATION

Can you help us build a basic mobile phone application?
We’re looking for somebody with the skills to turn our idea and wireframe into a prototype and eventually a fully functioning app. Our plan is to start with IOS before eventually expanding to Android.

What’s the concept?
The theme of the app centres around the mental health of doctors working in the prehospital field, with a specific focus on something called moral injury. The aim is to provide a platform which will encourage reflective practice and self-awareness among medical students who are out on placement with London’s Ambulance Service. Ultimately we hope to gain a better insight into the effect of early clinical exposure on mental health with a view to investigating steps that can be taken to mitigate moral injury.

Why should I help?
This application has the potential to be cutting edge in a field of research which is extremely new and so far underexplored. This makes it a brilliant opportunity for anybody looking for a dissertation style project or hoping to be involved in a research publication. The prehospital care programme’s reputation is internationally recognised for its excellence, with our monthly events live streamed outside of the UK and our conferences attracting medical students, paramedics, doctors and other health care professionals from across the UK. The programme is in collaboration with the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and the Institute of Pre-Hospital Care making it extremely unique and well supported. Although we are not in a position to provide payment for the building of this app, we would of course include your name on any publications that arise as a result of the app. You would also be welcome to use it in your portfolio etc.
